Women in Engineering
As it is noted that women are a very small percentage in the universities and colleges teaching engineering, efforts are made to make them feel comfortable and to help them finish the courses. As they are a small percentage, they can feel isolated and to avoid this Women In Engineering groups have come forward to improve the campus life for these women. Merit awards, plant trips, tutoring service, etc. is found to be useful to improve the performance and improve attendance as well. Mentoring is widely done where experienced student helps the new student with advice.
